(RockPassion.Vn) – Music For Relief (MFR) is a charity founded by the band Linkin Park. The goal is to provide relief and aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. It seeks to bring the music community together to maximize the efforts to create awareness and raise funds for those in need.
Since its inception in 2005, MFR has raised over $3 million for the victims of the tsunami tragedy in Southeast Asia, hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Hanna, Gustav & Ike, Wildfires in Southern California, the 5.12 earthquake in China, and most lately, the Haiti’s earthquake. MFR also sent musicians and volunteers to help rebuild and donate supplies to people in need.
