(RockPassion.Vn) From 12.30am to 11pm on 25 April, the Third Hanoi international music Festival called “MAG Music Festival” has taken place successfully. It was not only the music festival, but also the internationally cultural activities, humanity and humanitarian work for peace. Minsk Club Vietnam and CAMA had organized this event to raise funds for MAG, an organization specializing in dismantling bombs in Vietnam. 12 bands, artists from around the world had brought a strong spirit of the modern, alluring Rock, of which not many Vietnamese people have had the opportunity to enjoy.

Right at 14.15 the festival began with the appearance of The screen Props. With the style of pop-rock, The Props started attract the audience. The most special points in the show of The Props were those compatible combinations between Eguitars, drums and clarinets

After the performances of The Props, almost all the stage was replaced by the Girl + Machine from Canada apparently. This was an unexpected performance with combinations of Girl + Machine and one band from Hanoi – the band Hot Sky.

Although appeared in the simple white skirt, Girl is a woman of powerful characteristic, gave audience at the festival the real passion to enjoy Girl + Machine + Hot Sky. In The final Time in show of their own, Girl + Machine bestowed the entire stage for Hot Sky with the appearance of vocalist Hieu Trung.

The 3rd band contributing to the main stage of the festival is Dorques from Phillipin. Again, Dorques had made a very impressive presence at this festival. Only with 4 members and the style of pop-rock (or more correctly a “light rock”) but what Dorques did on the stage of “MAG Music Festival” were some kinds of the strong, alluring, attractive and incredible Rock. The most Impressive person was drummer Aimee, undoubtedly she was the heart of Dorquel.

The songs of Dorquel are written mainly in 2 languages: English and Japanese. Attending the festival, Dorquel had the opportunity to promote their new album “The Dorquel”. Many audience presenting at this festival met them after their show to get this new CD.

Before “MAG Music Festival” took place, I Am David Sparkle has been predicted as a really high-quality band, but what I Am David Sparkle had shown on the festival stage went beyond all the expectations had been made.

With 4 members, I Am David Sparkle has brought listeners the really sound of Post-rock/Experimental. It was just only the music that has occupied the space. An hour performance of I Am David Sparkle City had forced the massive audience to listen, think, experience and release their soul in it.

The next Rock band performing in stage of the festival was Recycle, an alternative/post-rock band from Hanoi. Attending the “MAG Music Festival”, Recycle brought out some very familiar songs in EP ” Ecreation’’ (“Tai che”) and a new song called “Xa” ( “Far away”).

James Harries was the next singer in performance. The British rocker stood on the stage of “MAG Music Festival” alone with guitar in hand , James Harries appeared as a “lonely rocker”.

Not only like a rock artist, James Harries is also a mutimedia designer, developer and video editor. Although standing alone in a stage, James Harries attracted many people by his emotions and his training.

Playing after James Harries was Goo, a Punk bands from Thailand. Goo was a name that emphasized C.A.M.A by its real quality. Goo had followed I Am David Sparkle, they fueled the atmosphere at American Club.

Simon Gilbert, a member of Goo was best known among others (former band member Sude). But at the stage of the festival, viewers not only knew Simon but also mentioned Oh Futon, Futon Bee, Tuan, because all offered viewers a really hot show.

Nearly an hour show went by hustily, once again, audiences in the club screamed “one more song” and of course Goo has did not let them down.

Quân Yoemans (guitar/vocal by Regurgitator) and Minuit were the very bands that played lastly in the show. Quan backed again with the completely new music style – electrical. With the familiar white guitar, added by a mixer and a beautiful drummer, Quan made all the audiences jump ups and down, ups and downs continuously.

The “MAG Music Festival”,which was also called as the 3rd international music Festival in Hanoi had ended successfully . They had succeeded in fundraising for humanitarian and peace. Besides, viewers can feel that all the size, profession, number of participants at this music festival have grown up from times to times.

The “MAG Music Festival” has shown us the excellent work of Minsk Club Vietnam, C.A.M.A in contributing to the rich musical life in Hanoi. Minsk Vietnam and C.A.M.A also contributed to create a great playground for rock bands in Hanoi, gave out the opportunity for them to be in contact with the high-quality bands not only continently but also globally.
