(RockPassion.Vn) – In their effort to bring great rock bands to Vietnam to refresh the music scene in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam C.A.M.A Club once again brings Vietnamese rock fans the chance to watch Handsome Furs – a Canadian Alternative/Punk band – play in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on September 10^th and 11^th.

Handsome Furs is an Alternative/Punk rock band founded by guitarist Dan Boeckner (also the founder of Indie rock bands Wolf Parade and Atlas Strategic). The second member is Boeckner’s wife, Alexei Perry. The duo have had two full-length albums so far: “Plague Park” (2007) and “Face Control” which was released in 2009 via Sub Pop. This is the first time they tour Asia and Oceania. The next stops in this tour include Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Australia, New Zealand.

Handsome Furs‘ first show will take place at Vasco’s – 74/7D Hai Ba Trung Street, District 1, HCMC at 20:00, September 10^th 2009. And 24 hours later i.e 20:00, September 11^th 2009, the band will be present at Gio Song Hong Restaurant – Bo Ðe, Long Bien, Hanoi. This show also features the local band Recycle. This can be another good opportunity for Recycle to perform with an international band (after the 3^rd International Music Festival in Hanoi on April 25 2009). There’s more great stuff to be expected as even the break time between the performances of Handsome Furs and Recycle will be filled with music by DJ Tri Minh and C.A.M.A Sound System.

Handsome Furs‘ Vietnamese tour is organized by C.A.M.A Club, sponsored by Heineken, Nine Dragons and Maison d’Hanoi Hanova Hotel. Ticket for Hanoi’s show is 150,000 VND and can only be purchased upon show’s entrance.
