[RockPassion.vn] – As an annual event in the summer time, Festival CAMA 6 has been officially announced on the media mass with participation of worldwide artists, in many music genre including rock, hip-hop, reggae and electronic. This June 2nd, five inter­na­tional groups and four local acts will rock Hanoi at the all-day inter­na­tional music event, CAMA Fes­ti­val 6.

The biggest event of its kind in Indochina, CAMA Fes­ti­val 6 keeps get­ting big­ger, this year attract­ing Japan­ese rock behe­moths Elec­tric Eel Shock to head­line the event, a band who make the top billing at fes­ti­vals any­where in the world. They’ll be ably sup­ported by one of the most impor­tant acts in the Chi­nese punk rock scene, Car­sick Cars, fresh from a fes­ti­val spot at SXSW as part of an Amer­i­can tour. Juras­sic 5’s Akil the MC needs no intro­duc­tion as bonafide Hip Hop roy­alty who’s been pro­mot­ing the genre through­out Asia for a num­ber of years. The Philippines’s Turbo Goth bring a touch of Elec­tro Dance exper­i­men­tal­ism to the fes­ti­val, with a stage show which is as much a visual feast as a work­out for beat-loving feet. Round­ing up the inter­na­tional sec­tion of the event is Poubelle Inter­na­tional from Hong Kong. They’re the undis­puted kings of the island’s under­ground indie scene and are more than ready to take their angu­lar art punk rhythms to the rest of the world.

On the local front, things are just as diverse. CAMA are delighted to be able to pro­vide a stage for Viet­namese femi-rockers Go Lim to show­case their obvi­ous tal­ent. This inspir­ing group, who defy cul­tural pre-conceptions, just keep on get­ting bet­ter and bet­ter. They’ll be joined by Zam­ina, a group whose Niger­ian her­itage is health­ily appar­ent in their Asian take on Afrobeat rhythms and Reg­gae musi­cal­ity. Com­plet­ing the line-up is Machete.Sex.Mix, the con­tri­bu­tion of Hanoi’s expat scene to the heady mix that the CAMA Fes­ti­val line-up rep­re­sents. Their sparse, indus­trial elec­tro sound has filled many a dark club and pro­vides the per­fect back­ground music with which to bang your head.

As with the last 5 CAMA Fes­ti­vals, this year’s event promises to be absolutely huge, cement­ing the festival’s sta­tus as Indochina’s biggest inde­pen­dent music event. On June 2nd 2012, the Amer­i­can Club 19–21 Hai Ba Trung, Ha Noi is the only place to be for those who love music.
