(RockPassion.Vn) – Always they say that a return should bring about freshness and contentment. And once again, it proved to be true on the night of May 16, great feelings of zeal and enthusiasm were spread among many metalheads and rockfans as they welcomed the return of Dark Night with the energetic performances from Little Nu, Polar Lost, God Father, Atmosphere and Disgusted.
The “return” began at 19:15 with the Unplugged Session by Little Nu. It had been expected to serve as a brand new appetizer for fans to warm up. However, the band seemed to fail it as they didn’t really give out enough heat. It was not until a game was hosted by the show organizers that there was excitement in the air.
Being held up by traffic jam, Polar Lost came a little later than expected. Okul Bar was then heated by the arrivals of many more fans. The scorching fire of Death Metal from Polar Lost gave a good sign of a mind-blowing night of metal.
The following act was filled up with Thrashcore from God Father which surrounded the audience by its enthusiasm and wildness. The bold performance from these guys boiled up the atmosphere and gave fans a great chance to unleash their energy. “Circles of madness” were formed; heat was released in almost every corner of the bar. Darkness awakened.
The presence of Atmosphere right after God Father really fulfilled the long expectation from their fans and contributed as an inspirational chemistry to the show. After a long time of hiatus, they made their return in full force and besides, introduced some changes in the band’s line-up: Khoi – the new bassist and Huy – the substitute for the drummer guy who had gone on vacation. Those changes didn’t prevent the band from delivering an amazing performance but only made it more refreshing.
The heartily zealous act of Atmosphere could be considered a spark light in the darkness reigning over all those present. Hands were thrown amid the air, hearts were racing at the same speed, and feelings flowed together with great melodies in the revival of metal spirit.
After the closing song “Mat Xich” from Atmosphere, the present metalheads had a chance to welcome back the last and obviously not least powerful act of Disgusted. Seemingly endless enthusiasm from fans aroused the full passion and energy from the band. They guys played as though they were warriors heading for the most glorious battle of their lives. In spite of some unexpected technical problems, the band ended successfully, leaving fans in pure contentment and satisfaction.
“Dark Night Returns” was a return of full darkness with reinforcement. Zeal and aggressiveness from both fans and musicians all contributed to mark an inspirational night of raw metal which revived long lost bold feelings in die-hard metalheads.
What’s more, the show served as a back-up for the ever-enthusiastic musicians, a highlight of May amid the descent of the rocking storm and chemistry in the metallic emission amid the summer’s heat.
